Hello all you fellow kendokas,

who is going to Mumeishi 3's this year ?

I will participate with a team from my club in Belgium. We are from Ghent(zekkin says GENT)
I'm the kyu :wink:
I hope to see some of you there ! Should be nice to meet in person.

My dojo (Reading) will definatly have one team there (if not more) and I hope to be able to come and watch some good quality Kendo. Does anyone know what the costs are (i.e. an entry fee, lunch there etc.)?

I am planning going anyway but it is always nice to have an idea of this stuff before hand

As i recall entry fees are as follows
Teams £30
Ladies £10
Juniors free
Lunch is free for competitors.


But better to check on Mumeishi's site.

as far as I remember from previous years, there will be no entry fees: jsut turn up and watch!
i'll probably come as a spectator, as my wife will take part in the Lady's competition!

Holt sensei said 74 teams registered - it's TEAM and not restricted to MENs.

I'd be away tho... So many things to do, so little time. I wish I had a mini me.

Do spare a thought for the referees - its not an easy competition to be a judge !

My Sensei was explaining that it is a huge burden having to referee nine games on, three games off continuously for the entire day.

The recent changes to the grading rules by the BKA to encourage (or force I guess) more referees is - in my opinion - a necessary one.

I will be at the Nakakura Winter Seminar in Brussels this december. I'll also participate in team and singles competition and I will take the exam for shodan.
