Found a forum on GaijinPot that was pretty interesting for someone thinking of working in Japan.

Not much about kendo in there but heaps of foriegners living in Japan discussing their experiences.

Just any we like or specific topic oriented?
I like stencil revolution (http://www.stencilrevolution.com/forum/) and something awful (http://forums.somethingawful.com/).
I also had a fondness for the Wastes section of portent. Complete and utter randomness, word association and dissociation threads. Random rantings and ravings. The most perfect of mental-wanking (beg your pardon for the jargon but that's how it is)

What I have seen of something awful makes me feel ill. I don't share your interest in stenciling but the site seems good - liked what I saw in the gallery (couldn't find anything by Lloromannic though).

Any forum is cool I guess. Other people on this forum seem interested in martial arts other than kendo, Starwars, Star Trek, Hello Kitty, smiley faces, guns, right wing politics etc, all of which bore me to tears but I welcome introductions to forums on even these topics. Whatever does it for your e-peen.

I am hoping to find work in Japan next year so any forum regarding work and play in Japan is also cool.

Many things about something awful are just not funny. Others I really like, Your Band Sucks is great, especially since some of my favourite bands are subjected to abuse buy him. When I am drunk I like to see Horror of Porn.

I dropped my digicam while stencilling so no picures XD. And it's something I like to do on my own.
