Does anybody know where I can find some nice Japanese Character fonts on the internet for free? I'd prefer Kanji and Katakana, and I'm specifically looking for a font that looks like nice caligraphy, if possible showing brush strokes.

Thanks!

PS, I also have a Mac.

Did you do a search? Use Google, there seem to be a lot out there.

Hi Hamish...

For Kanji:

Try http://cgm.cs.mcgill.ca/~luc/japan.html

Also, check out http://web.uvic.ca/kanji-gold/

and... http://www.shareup.com/ReadWrite_Kanji-download-11306.html

For Katakana:

http://www.shareup.com/ReadWrite_Katakana-download-2034.html

and... http://www.stackz.com/KanjiBrowze/kbrDownload.htm

General: There are some neat shareware fonts at http://www.dafont.com/en/theme.php?cat=201&page=1

Hopefully there should be something there to suit you...

Please let us know if you find something...

Cheers
