Very true. There were 53 applicants for the Western grading, ranging from ikkyu to godan. Cograts to all those successful!

All the best to our Eastern friends and those grading with the Central Committee (for 6th and 7th dan)!

my teacher is going for 7th dan!

He'll be doing keiko with mine, also going for nanadan. Best of luck to both of them. And congratulations BTW to Gerald, too modest to say that he passed sandan last weekend.

That's grounds for both a whoo and a hoo. Congratulations to D'Orangeville-sensei and Miyaoka-sensei - were there others?

How'd you do, Max?

There's no quit in him. Great guy, too - he's been to our seminar a couple of times.

Congratulations on passing. I got word that our sensei's son passed sandan, and our good friend Corie Namba from Manitoba passed yondan.

it's funny how everyone was not so satisified about their own grading!
