Just a quick poll for KW to see the need for the elusive issue

I think e-book would be very nice. Anyway as soon as I buy my bogu I am subscribing.

I vote for a re-print. A friend loaned me a copy and it looks really good in my hands.

Although a re-print would be my favorite option, it'll probably not be economically feasible for the KW team to do so, as the market would be quite small.

A "printer's grade" pdf (and consent to allow printing) sent to the buyers/subscribers may be a good option, you could ask your local printer to print up a nice copy if you want, at no additional cost to KW. But this method has the downside of KW losing control over how many copies of version 1.1 will be in existence/circulation.

Correct. This makes it even less economically feasible than the re-print in my humble submission. Issue 1 is rare and highly sought-after - I don't see why it wouldn't be snapped up quickly like before.

Indeed, maybe a good compromise is for KW to take pre-orders and therefore they will not be out of pocket for printing too many extra copies of 1.1?

I worry that re-issuing and mailing past issues will chew up management effort that would be better spent on an exciting new project. However, past issues should be made available at a fair price. Is a online bookstore an option? Other tittles could be added to the mix to create value added.

Excellent idea!

It's the printer/publishing company that has to deal with the printing matters I think.

Any of these options would be wonderful, though a copy I could hold in my hands would be the best. I am getting a subscription for christmass so after that comes back issues.

No matter what you choose thank you for asking.

Good to see that there is so much interest out there. A few more subscribers would be nice!

Any way, here's the deal. It would be far too expensive to re-print it again. Besides, I think the first issue is a special one, and those who were keen to take a chance and support us from the start should be entitled to keep their vintage editions, and maybe sell them for a huge profit on E-bay in 20 years...

We are looking at the e-book option right now. Hamish is sorting out the available software in between bathing his newly born baby.

We are thinking of e-publishing back issues, 8 issues behind the current issue at the time. This way we hope to keep interest in the hard copy magazine, but also offer other people a cheaper option, albeit a couple of years behind.

Nothing is set in concrete yet, but that is what we are looking at now.

Cheers and thanks for your continued support!

Excellent! Cheers for that!

Hamish has a new baby? More details needed!
