basic waza

I have a book that thourghly explains what it calls advanced waza. What are some basic waza?

It really depends on your level. The basics are the hard part, once you have them everything else is easy. But I bet you will find it very difficult to find someone who has the basics down since they are so extensive, and require the most attention.

Basic in this context means "uncomplicated", ie no counter attacking or dodges or initial movements or strikes to destroy the oppositions defence. It doesn't necessarily mean "easy"! I'm sure 8th Dans still practice their Men and Kote cuts, and I'm sure they still feel they have room for improvement!
