What drew you to kendo?

Since I'm a beginner and still deciding if I want to get into Kendo, I figured I'd find out how all of you got started with this sport/art.

Lets hear some stories on what drew you to Kendo, and how you came to be involved with it. I'd appreciate it! ;)

no seriously, it was because one of my friend asked me if I wanted to try it. I had not much social life at the time so it was a good opportunity to make some friends.

Weird enough I became more than addicted to this weird stick game....

Kendo's one of the only martial arts where I get to hit my boyfriend with a big stick ......plus its great for stress relief, I just need to get my boss into the dojo.
