Having read many recent posts, I note that that many of the younger kendokas on these boards are practicing something called 'Moribundo'.

Can anyone explain what this is?

If you ment MoriBudo - it is a Japanese Bogu supplier that RBSO's like Hai-Hai love!!!! (seriously though - I hear their bogu is excellent)

I did a search for 'Moribundo' and only this thread came up.

...and with the new Moribudo 2005 prices (search for other thread...) they are no longer just within the grasp of BBSOs...

Check out their website (although the prices haven't been updated) or write to Mr Mori for a catalogue...

I have just got my catalogue today - well worth sending off for. Awesome catalogue - and from what I can tell - awesome Bogu!

Now I just need to justify getting Moribudo armour to my girlfriend........

It is a great catalogue... you're right...

I think that my wife likes the anti-smelly-sweaty aspects of the 'hygienic' bogu... I am sure that this will make Kendo far more socially acceptable in the crabbi household...!

Also.... btw... according to tantadi-San the Hygienic bogu also offers excellent protection...

now... should I go for the MC-39 or the MC-75....? Hmmmmmm

cheers

Tell your wife the bogu smells like roses..;-) seriously, the MC-35 hasn't developed any smell. But of course, it can start to stink when time passes. Who can tell beforehand.

I see that Moribudo has a new line of kote on their webside. The construction looks different from standard kote. I wonder how the flexibility at the wrist is...they look neat.

Lol Tantadi-San... yes, I'll have to use that line!

Someone tell me there's a kendoka pickup lines thread floating on this board somewhere...

"Your bogu smells like roses."
"Need any help with your ushiro-himo?"
"Care to taiatari?"

Lucien i'm sorry to inform you that your thread has been hijacked by professor Crabbiarty and his henchmen and transformed from a waza to a bogu dedicated one :D

Not at all! I think this is the Moribundo I was looking for.

I will keep my eyes open for other examples.

Hi Lucien-San

I am sure that it is... there have been quite a few posts on a number of different threads about the Moribudo Mussobyu materials (linings to Men and Kote that stop sweat and odour...)... Sorry if this appeared to be a disrespectful hijack... that wasn't the intention...

Cheers
