Thanks for the warm welcome..... I just started Kendo about 2 months ago.. I was interested in Kung Fu at first.. but the class schedule and my work schedule didn't allow me to enroll.. Don't remember exactly how.. but I stumbled across a great old world Kendo Dojo near my house, and I have been obsessed ever since.. I am trying to be a sponge reading anything I can on the subject, and researching the Art of Kendo and the Art of the Samurai... I'm simply hooked!!

Hi Matty,
Check out "Kendo - The Definitive Guide" by Hiroshi Ozawa, you might also check out "The Shamballah Guide to Kendo" by Minoru Kiyota, as well as "This is Kendo" by Junzo Sasamori.
Welcome to kendo. One word of advice - patience!
