Ok, the Internet can be a very BAD thing. Especially for online shopping in the wee hours of the morning.

I was just at www.e-bogu.com (http://www.e-bogu.com) and noticed their 10% off Christmas sale. You may want to point this out to your signifcant other.

But while looking through their clearance area I noticed hakama with velcro straps (http://www.e-bogu.com/junkeikandha.html) for juniors.
Now, I'm only ever so slightly taller than their largest size. But are there other velcro items out there for us unco-ordinated adults I wonder? :)

The pants that the Koreans wear (the white ones with black stripes down the side) fasten with velcro. We have a couple of Koreans in our club, I was surprised to see the velcro. Very quick to put on and functional, though.

Velcro hakama - yeah i've seen the korean version as described

Velcro keigoki - i've know some women to add velcro to theirs to keep the top bit closed more.

Velcro men - seen one of those too .. just for kids maybe??

Velcro tenegui - haven't seen... but HAVE seen a funny ninja-hood like devise that is put on instead of a tenegui (think formula one).

What i'd like is a velcro bit at the end of my shinai ... and then the opposite bit on my opponents men ... a good strike would then be easier to spot 'cos your shinai would be stuck to your opponents head...........

There's a way to fold a standard tenugui to get a hood/hat dealy - we call it "the party hat" fold. It has the advantage of covering your ears.

Can you actually buy a keikogi with the velcro already 'installed'? My travel sewing kit is a little rudimentary, so I haven't sewn velcro onto the one I'm using now, but later, it might be nice to have that added modesty. It's hardly a problem in any case, I'm not exactly Pamela Anderson Lee in that category, but still...

I believe you can buy velcro with adhesive backing, which would negate the need to sew anything. Of course I'm unsure as to if it would still be attached to your Gi after a washing.
