I was browsing the sword forum just then and came across Steve Delaney's post (http://forums.swordforum.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=44709) about the middle of the page. I recognised the name Usuki Yoshihiko, who appeared in that video clip as mentioned in this thread. He's been recently nominated as #1 Togishi in Japan.

He's been recognised as Japan's Living Treasure: http://www.sosuishitsuryu.com/history/ (all the way to the bottom).
