Soundoff if you are going to the Cleveland taikai in April - I saw the list of the winners from last year, but what dojos normally go? How big is it? What's the field like?
I know the Shidogakuin NY, DC, CT goes. Looks like Triangle and TMG will also be there from the south. Scuttlebut has it that Florida might be able to bring 2 invincible teams this year. :hurt:

Hi guys, I will be there with two other people from the University of Illinois Kendo Club. This is my first Taikai to participate (I watched my first one last year in Chicago), so I hope to learn a lot more and do my best Kendo.
Good luck with training and see you all there!

This year's tournament was great! It was nice to see a large turn out for the Women's Division. It was also great to see all the little kendoist in the Junior Divison who were so cute in their chibi bogu (I can't wait to have one of my own)!
All the finals matches were incredible, especially the teams and 4 Dan and up finals. Major kudos to the guy who got his shoulder dislocated, but still held out to win the match. Dude, you rock!

Lol the guy that dislocated his arm was Elliot from J.C.C.C. He was in "Team Ontario" with Shegimitsu Kamata, Ishimatsu, Robin Tanaka, and Mathew Raymond.
Too bad there wasn't E-bogu vendors or anything because I wanted to buy 2 new shinais :P.
