This is a image I made for my dojo for we were without a logo for awhile. I got embaressed and never turned it in though. I got rid of the dojo name cause with my luck all my fellow dojo members will see it and laugh at me later. <<
But I liked it. :3 Please tell me whatcha think. ^^

It's a good picture. The background is nice scenery, it's pleasant to look at. It is however, a little complicated. I believe the most important thing about a logo is that the background really emphasise your dojo area, athmosphere etc. and also the simplicity of the design. Just my 2 cents.

As one sensei described it, kendo is like climbing a mountain. When you first start, your sensei provides you with the proper path to walk, but as you go higher, you must begin to find your own path.

Simplistically put, that's reflected in your logo. I like it!

Nice picture, but the kenshi has bad kamae.

Nice logo. I think, though, the kendoka is leaning a little too far back. Have her head line up with her right foot. Make it a "strong" stance.

As for the background, it is really super. It reminds me of a traditional Japanese scroll (kakejiku) you can see in many traditional Japanese-style rooms.

Do some more art work and post them. I think everyone on the forums would love to see some artistic talent dedicated to kendo!

Nice picture, but the kenshi has bad kamae.
Indeed, if I may say so myself. He/she is leaning too far back for example.
