View Full Version : May we please have a larger character limit for PM's?

Hi Hamish-san,

I would like to ask, if I may, may we please have a higher char limit for our PM's? It is getting frusterating to find out that we have to send a PM in parts, which overloads the other person's box as well as our own, if someone sends us PM's in parts. Sometimes, a person just can't cut out things one wishes to say in a PM.

E-budo has a nice char limit of 5000, which is a nice number and prevents having to do that there. May we please have that number for our PM system here? Since we have a 20 PM limit(Which is no problem.), this would really help!

wow I was getting a full grown-thesis complete with footnotes and bibliographies as a reply to my pm, or something. :D
Really it wasn't that big of a deal, I just felt bad about the post I made (the post that I made because I felt bad about the way the thread was going in the first place :( ).

I've never had a problem with character limits here. Its not like we need to write an essey every time we send a PM to some one. I know like you writing long replys and PMs Kahoru :D but if you read the book of five rings, Musashi did not write alot. Some of the best writing I have seen is never long, so you wouldn't need more characters if you kept it short :p.

hehehe, That's not the reason I asked. I got tired of cutting PM's down to size, only to find out it wasn't enough. And, it was frusterating because maybe I didn't want to cut X thing, you know? :)

Anyway, please don't worry about it. I wasn't offended. It's not like you said something really mean or anything for the fun of it. :) But, thank you for your post and being so nice. :) *bow*
