The Edmonton Kendo and Naginata Club (EKNC) will be holding their third Seminar May 13, 14 and 15th.
Our guest instructors for the kendo portion of this year's EKNC seminar will be Bob Takagaki-Sensei from the Steveston Kendo Club and Neil Gendzwill-Sensei from the Saskatoon Kendo Club. Our guest instructors for the naginata portion of our seminar will be Karen Schmucker-Sensei and Marcia Toyohara-Sensei from Seattle and San Jose, respectively. Our host instructors are Stephanie Bozzer-Sensei (Kendo) and Deryck Webb-Sensei (Naginata).
As part of our 2005 seminar, the EKNC will also provide visiting kendoka with the chance for isshyu-giai with the naginataka. This is something that visitors from other clubs particularly enjoy because our club is the only one in western Canada that has both martial arts practicing together.
