Anyone in Nagoya/Aichi?

This is my first post here, be kind ;)

I have just moved to Nagoya from Vancouver, with my wife. I am going to start kendo, with any luck, in May.

I was wondering if there is anyone studying in the Nagoya area?
Also I was wondering what kind of gear I need to start?

I am heading to Anshin Shokai tomorrow, to see what the prices are like.

Hello! I'm studying at Nagoya Daigaku and practicing with the club here... if you have any questions feel free to ask, although I haven't been here too long. When you find a dojo and get situated, send me a PM, I'd love to come visit other dojos!

By the way, to start, just get some athletic pants and a t-shirt. The dojos have tons of extra shinai that they can lend you and you won't need to worry about bogu for a while.

I was also looking at a kendo gi & hakama set, should I pick one of those up after a few classes?

What do people most often practice in?
