Quick question: Whats the role of a moderator?

They delete posts they feel are innappropriate, ban/warn users who violate posting guidelines. Like forum police.

I generally like the status quo here. Most of our troll-worthy content doesn't extend into the serious parts of the forum, so we're fairly well behaved anyway.

Thats okay, I often wonder about your guyses community, sounds like you are all interconnected really well. Where I live now I am like the only person who practices kendo save a few of the Japanese exchange students. You guys on this forum are all I've got and it's kinda weird because I don't really know any of you. Sorry, this is kind of an odd reply.

well the actual one is http://www.ucl.ac.uk naturally ucl is a brilliant uni, but kendo is more important :p

as for the ucl kendo, well anjin's gonna get to work after exams sometime

We have got a website but its only half done, because the members couldn't be bothered sorting it out, so one of my requests before the new academic year was a decent up and running website.


I'll believe it when I see it.

When are you thinking of coming over? If you PM or email me closer to the time I'll be a little prepared....?

Yeah again, UCL is a good uni. Plus other countries out side of England think it is EVEN better than it is as places like India, China and prity much any other country love hearing that you went of THE London University.

Plus back to your comment about our lot taking over threads and killing them, just like aids. well... we learnt from the best.... on that note i will take 2 we hate gibbo t-shirts

As I am sure it is for you too, this acedemic year is almost over. I am applying for a transfer for next fall. I dunno, I read the degree requirements for American students and they didn't really make much sense. I am going to send an e-mail to your admissions office to see whats up. I couldn't transfer until after this year was over anyway.

The website is up, and running, and I received about 8 email requests via it. Since we don't have a system for taking in new beginners during the year, they were all turned away.

It is however out of date, and like I mentioned in the circular I sent out WEEKS ago, we're going to do the site new after the exams when everyones free.

To Richmond-san, welcome. The clubs still a little rough around the edges, but as long as you have enough money for drink you'll be ok.
