Does anyone know this dojo in Stamford, CT, USA?
I may be returning to the CT area and this might be the nearest dojo. If it isn't a good place to train, then I need to find a different place to return to. Can't live without kendo, ya know.
Thanks for the info.

I met Shidogakuin, NJ guys during the tournament in NYC. Pretty strong Dojo with many young Yon-Dans. Don't know about one in Stamford though..
Actually, checkout www.kendoka.org Same guy ( Peter Kilpe ) is the contact.. Should be good.

Also Kato sensei ( Kyoshi 7th Dan ) is an excellent teacher. He used to visit my dojo once in a while. Let me know how it goes.
Stamford is only 30 min from here, maybe I'll visit there.

Thanks for the info. I can't imagine returning and then saying, crap, the only dojo nearby is no good. I think I would have to quit my job and move all over again.
It sounds good.

Aha, Kadaoka Sensei's dojo.. No I haven't visited your Dojo but we probably have crossed our way during the annual tournament Kadaoka Sesei runs. I skipped 2002 but I was there 2000 and 2001.

You must be Miniki Synn. I see your name on 2001 tournament roster.. :-)

There goes my anonymity (although they misspelled my name). I did end up not being able to attend the 2001 tourney though...
Anyway, you should visit at NYCKC sometime. I'll invite myself to the Scarsdale Kyudokan one of these days. Do you guys have a lot of practitioners?
I noticed that you're from Korea. Did you train kendo at all in Korea?

We have many new comers and usually have 3-4 Yondans. I started Kendo late in my life here in Scarsdale. So No, I haven't done anything of sort when I was in Korea.

Nodachi,
Hello. I am very familiar with the Shidogakuin dojos in New Jersey and New York. Both have excellent senseis and I would expect to find the same in CT.
Kato sensei is the head of all of the schools and if I'm not mistaken, teaches most of the classes in Connecticut. He is awesome.

I just sent an email to the dojo contact, thank you to to whomever posted the link to www.kendoka.org.
I clicked on CT dojo and the page came up.
I'll let everyone know how things go.

I don't like this city 'stamford' too much like the name of another city I despise.
