Sei Do Kai is a not for profit group that teaches many different schools of Japanese swordsmanship. Including Iaido, Kenjitsu, Niten, Jodo just to name a few.
Each May for the past twelve years the Sei do Kai has organized a spring seminar that brings together six of Japan's premier eighth dans, and all interested martial art students. We have been quite fortunate to draw over one hundred plus students from all over the world for our six day event. The web site for the seminar is at http://www.uoguelph.ca/~iaido/iai.seminar.html
As you can well imagine the cost of flying the sensei's to Canada, food, board and rental of the facilities is astronomical. The fee we charge the students covers about two thirds to three quarter of the total cost. We have not raised our fee for years, as we believe it may inhibit those interested in learning Japanese swordsmanship.
To earn the balance of the funds needed, we hold an auction of various donated materials. These include for example, equipment, bags, books, mugs, fans, pictures, posters etc., essentially anything that can help us raise funding. That sirs is the reason for this email. If there is anyway you would please be kind enough to donate...anything to our seminar auction, we would be very grateful.
If you would like we would be more than happy to distribute any catalogues or pamphlets you may have to the students attending the seminar. Also if you would like to attend the seminar and set up a retail table of your goods, you would be more than welcome.
