I found this short story of a sword duel and thought it to be interesting.

Awesome read! Are there more of these non-fiction stories about duels?

thats really facinating,,, you always hear stories about insulted samurai's randomly beheading people and improptu duels in the street between two challengers, they have such a mystical and romantic feel about them..

Did the rounin by any chance have red hair and a scar formed like an X?

Seriously, nice story though, allways nice to read.

Aldo Nadi (http://fencersquarterly.com/review4.htm), the famous early 20th Century fencer, actually got into a duel with sharp epees. Read about it here. (http://nadi.calpoly.edu/%7Efencing/Documentation/historical/nadi.html)

He da*n near killed the guy.

Amazing... Simply amazing. At the start I thought Aldo would lose since he was holding back (he did not want to kill his opponent).

Both of them drank champagne afterwards...

Fun read. Makes me remember why I think that people who romanticize about being samurai or whatever are completely nuts though... what a waste of life over nothing.
