i didn't know where to put this, but i guess kyudo would be a kind of koryu....
does anyone know if there are any kyudo dojos in the U.S? and where. thanks in advance

Yes, it is a type of Koryu.

The Muyoshingetsu Ryu Kyudo he mentions in his post, is rare. Here is a dojo in the US:

It is in California. There seems to be only one dojo of this Ryu.
