tsuka length??

i recently got a new shinai and i had a hell of a time gettin the tsuka leather on.. it was super tight and all but when i finally got it on .... the tsuka is like too short!! like 5 cm shorter than my carbons tsuka.. :( but on the inside of the leather it says 39A on it?? doesnt it mean it should fit on my 39??? is there some way to stretch it?
i bought the shinai from someone and i bought the leather from her too but pretty sure they didnt come together..

There are many different "versions" of a 39 shinai. Wide grip, small grip, short tsuka, long tsuka etc...

You must have a short tsuka leather or something.
