This is a continuation of the "Naginata is for Girls" thread.
I live in Nagoya and have been learning Kendo for almost six months. The majority of the students at my Dojo are junior high and high school students, and a surprisingly large amount are girls ( maybe 10% on some nights). I teach English as a profession, and I know more female kendoka students than male! As for Naginata, I sometimes see JHS boys carrying Naginata to and from school.
So, it looks like the gender rules regarding Budo are changing here.
What do you think of these observations?
