What did you guys think about the College students from Japan? (JCI dojo)

There were couple of guests from Japan came to U.S. to practice. I thought they would be as strong as those Keishicho keshi's. I don't quit remember but I saw one good kenshi that I thought was ok. There were no others that were interesting to watch. It's sad that only one from So cal got a point and the rest had hikiwake or lost. But I think it was a good that everyone had their chance to fight with one of the college students.

SCKO sucks casue none of thier guys won. The only person that won was from sckf, and that was the Nito guy.

I heard the japanese guys werent even tryig that hard. oh and isnt JCI the real gardena dojo???? Is there anyone at Gardena thats been there longer then Amamia sensei or the late Higuchi sensei of JCI? How come Gardena gets to say that they are the dojo with all of the history?

er, maybe because this is a forum for discussion of kendo, not housekeeping. As Ben said, if you'd used a phone/chatroom/whatever it would have been better for all concerned.
Essentially the stuff you have posted in this particular thread is of no relevance to about 99% of the forum. That's what it has to do with anything.
Perhaps if you had phrased it in such a way as to include the rest of the forum. . .'so and so came here from such and such dojo. I though they would be bad-ass but they weren't. Has anyone else had similar experiences?' or something like that would have perhaps been more appropriate. Hey, you might have even put it in the 'general chat' section. What a concept.

As someone who teaches at Gardena JCI, I hope this will settle the matter.

1. Gardena Dojo and Gardena JCI are two separate dojos and there is practically no communication between the two.

2. Both dojos are in two different federations. Gardena in SCKO and Gardena JCI in SCKF.

3. Gardena JCI is the original Gardena Dojo. We can trace our lineage back though our senseis to Mori Sensei who help found the dojo.

If anyone wants to know more just send me an email or if you're in the area stop on by Gardena JCI on Fridays and I'll tell you the whole story.
