Thanks for sharing the pictures, my sempai didn't take any pictures when he was there although I've already asked him to.

Has anyone heard, have they confirmed Kitamotto for next year or is it being cancelled due to worlds?

My sempai did mentioned that usually when there is WKC, there will be no Kitamoto summer camp for the same year. However next year's WKC is in December.... I'm not very sure, sorry.

Why practise with a habiki? To make it a bit more real.
There will be no Kitamoto seminar next year. Instead, there will be a AJKF sponsored referee seminar for the WKC refs.

Thanks for the link Alex. From checking out the pics I saw two people I didn't know were there: Damian Carmody-Stephens and Ron Walker, the former an ex-coutryman of mine, the latter an ex-countryman of yours. Both top blokes too. And I can't believe I didn't find out until last week that Damo got his 6-dan at Kitamoto. If you're lurking out there Damian, well done mate!

The AJKF decided a couple of years ago that the Summer Seminar would not be held in the years of World Kendo Championships. So that means 2007 is the next one, then 2008, skip 2009, on again 2010 ....
In 2007 they have a high level shinpan seminar in Japan for WKC shinpan training. Summer school and the shinpan seminars are excellently hosted and conducted and must cost a considerable amount, so I guess there is only so much the budget can cope with.
Hi Alex, saw you in the pics, pity I wasn't in them too !!

Ahhh... I see Inoue-sensei, he was visiting Singapore on 9th and 10th September. Me and some of my sempais manage to get a chance to learn from him and keiko too. :)
Although time was short, but very interesting.
