when u meet fellow kendoka..u say.."wazaahhhh!!!?" really..that's what you do.

ok just kidding..it's technique practising with motodachi. like men uchi waza..practising big cuts hitting men..to debana waza..if you're practising a technique it is called waza.

What is Waza???

Waza is the pronunciation of a japanese word that simply interpreted, in a kendo environment, means technique.

The AJKF Kendo Dictionary also has "A motor skill that is gained through long hard training and a striking movement that has a standard form".

No, the Great I Am's 1st post in this thread is the definitive meaning!

What he failed to explain is the fact that all the battle hardened veterans have to tsuki the pie down your throat until you gag. Only then will you understand the true meaning of the term "waza". :cool:
