(chuckle) Isn't theft of satcom global broadcast services kinda' stretching the "Multimedia" forum's intent?

Seriously, though, I heard it was coming down the pike, but I've not paid much attention. Interesting to see that it panned out.

owners of free to air satellite recievers (which are legal), have for years been recieving* dish networks signals and using them (not so legal, but still cant get busted). these recievers decode their encryption system known as nagravision1, on black wednesday dish changed to a new suppossed unbreakable encryption system called nagravision2, which was also being used in europe succesfully for years. almost everyone had given up hope for a fix, when all of a sudden reports started coming in that it was broken and sure enough it was, nobody expected something like this.

but I see nobody relly knows about this free tv thing here, so nobody careshttp://www.kendo-world.com/forum/images/icons/icon11.gif

*most of the people that had these recievers knew that dish is pay tv. so more technically they were taking them.
