Julian,
Welcome to the K-W forums.
Have you decided on a specialty in medicine, or will you be a general practitioner? I'm sure that orthopaedics would be a great field, since you'd already know about the possible injuries one could sustain while studying kendo.
Good luck on your promotion exam, I'm sure that after 6 months, you're pretty sure of your ability to pass 6-kyu and that you'll do fine.

the kendo lifestyle by visiting here often.

Greetings from the KW forums, Julian. I hope that your experience here is a good one -- you don't seem to be the type to get involved in flame wars or such, so I'm positive that you'll fit right in with the nicer side of this community. Welcome aboard
I hope that your grading goes well -- I'm sure that with 6 months of basics, you'll do just fine :)

Enjoy it while it lasts, you'll end up in my group sooner or later and then I will apply all I learned on the forums here on you beginners :devious:
Then you can put your knowledge of pain treatment to a good use :ogre:
Good to see another Mainz kenshi here, I started to feel lonely :(
Guess our people are not geeky enough to post on internet forums, except for Frank who posts here every now and then.
p.s. don't forget to update your information on the members area of the dojo website.
That thing is supposed to make the organisation of the growing number of people easier (and all it did so far is cost me sleepless nights of development) :D

Erm yes ... nice to meet u 2 ;-)
A fundamental element of pain-threatment is "threat in advance", and not when its too late ... so i should then get some drugs before lesson i guess ^^,
I should create an account then ... strange to talk english to another german btw ;-)

Don't worry, I was just kidding. I found the sempai at the uni dojo to be a great bunch of people, very helpfull and you can learn a lot from them.
If you train tuesday and saturday, I think Andi will be the trainer and he is my role model when it comes to attitude and straight, good and also very successfull kendo.
How many people are left of your group?

Hallo Julian,
it's funny to meet "own" students here. Fortunatly you haven't said a bad word about your sensei!
this is the DISadvantage of a kendo courses system at the university with different teachers and different classes. you actually rarely meet some of your own kenshi there. :)
have heard the reason for your missing the class at thuesday::devious:
you were allowed to make a (first) medical operation! has the patient survived? in case of YES, congrats!
it's clear now, you have an affinity to sharp knives.
cu saturday at Judy's class for a jigeiko
best
