(I don't know of this has been in any other threads... but i saw the movie the other day and WTF?!) Hey, If any of you have seen Transporter 2 youk now what I'm talking about. In the beginning the bad guy is in flashy white (girl) bogu with white do-dome and gold ropetihngs on his do. and he's doing hollywood-style-kendo. bad stance, bad tech, bad everything, and he's practising on 5/6 guys in normal navyblue+ black bogu. first he's flipping them over his head and then three guys do a tsuki on whitebogu's men grille and manage to snap the metal. now get this; he escapes the attack by ducking (obviously his men was on WAY too loose) and he starts attacking the other guys legs, which I think violates rules... and then he finishes and steps off his little kendo practise island and goes inside to do some bad guy stuff... sorry if this is the wrong place to post this, but I was outraged to see this kind of crap on the screen... please don't flame me for posting this

yeah... it's a movie... that will hurt/bastardize kendo's image somewhat perhaps?
it makes you ponder... is this 'must do a flashy japanese swordfight scene' trend in hollywood movies going to last much?
overall, i don't think it will benefit kendo/iaido's image towards the 'outside' world... it's more like, being throughfully dis-informative....
