Need Shinsengumi info!!

Hello everyone. I'm sitting in class, and I need some good information on the shinsengumi for this project thingy. Research keeps bringing me to sites about anime...
So, if it's not too much trouble, could you guys help? :rolleyes:

Have you ever heard of google (http://www.google.ca/search?q=shinsengumi+history&sourceid=mozilla-search&start=0&start=0&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official)? Right there, on the first page of results, are a number of good pages.

I understand that a number of pages will be about kenshin or peace maker kurogane, but really, you're a big boy, I'm sure you can skip over them and not read them.

There's a good chain of webpages that's labeled as Serizawa Kamo's biography (I believe) which outlines the Shinsengumi fairly well. It was one of the more informative ones I've read...although I'm not too sure of the accuracy.
