Am I the only one who calls newbies smurfs after they get their kendo gu and don't wash it enouugh before practice, turning themselves blue? lol, just wonderin'

try washing it in white viniger and cold water, that's how I stopped mine, I got sick of being a smurf, lol

really?.. hmm, how old is it? Mine stopped, thank god, after the first two months, but every time I washed it I put a little viniger in it 'till it stopped entirely.

I used 50/50 water/vinager with some sea salt and left it in there for about 3 hours. after that I washed it twice and had maybe 2 or 3 practices that I turned blue. But now it doesn't anymore.

eh, I was called a smurf after thursdays practice. New bogu bleeds still. Luckily I have a beard that covers it up a little on the sides. Not much but hardly noticeable. Besides, I wear the blue like a badge of honor.

luckey, I can't grow a beard, lol. I do see my bruises as badges of honor though, I admit it a nice kote bruise can make any one look tougher, lol,
