Does anyone know what a bio-hakama is...?

You can check it out here... if you can read Japanese

From what I understand, the material is pre-shrunken. Moreover, though it is indigo-dyed, the dye is set so it won't bleed or fade. Lastly, it is treated in a way to remain soft in feel.

Can't read the page, but I have a "bio" keikogi (http://www.bogubag.com/Uniforms/Kendo/Kendo_gi_images/gi_gold_L.jpg). I understand that the fabric is treated with enzymes. Unlike other keikogi I've owned, this one remains soft even immediately after being washed and hung to dry. My only criticism of it is that the weave is quite loose, easy to snag a strand.

Thanks for all your input everyone! I guess I'll have to weigh whether or not it is worth the $200 investment.

I wonder why they don't have the same product on their English page?

That is an excellent question! Perhaps they don't think that the people who can't read Japanese are worthy of the "good stuff" :P, or maybe they haven't had time to update their English website... Anyway, I ordered one (thanks to my very good friend who is Japanese... can't wait to see what it is like.
