Looks like his most recent project is a Anaconda or Boa Doh and tsuba...

The eggshell Doh was pretty interesting too...

I liked the dragon airbrushed on the inside of the doh....

Nice! I like them.... Are they purely for artistic purposes or for use because I don't think they'd quite be acceptable in the dojo! This could lead to the "Do colour" argument again.... :lick:

I don't normally go for that much flash, but this one (http://blogs.yahoo.co.jp/samedo634/13337290.html) is pretty cool. Mind you if I were to pick one to wear, I kinda like this other one (http://blogs.yahoo.co.jp/samedo634/17744769.html). I think that style is called tamenuri but I may be wrong.

Always nice to drool at those things, but if money is short and your bogu is boroboro, you'll settle for a decent one. My bogu is getting pretty bad, but since I believe I don't deserve a new one yet until I get better, i'll keep the one I have and keep repairing it.

A sensei in my area uses this do. I don't think there are any safety issues..

I have a friend who is an awesome artist and custome paints motorcycles, helmets, hocky masks, and other things. I have an old Do that he wants me to send him to do something cool with. I would never wear it to the dojo, but how many of you would? How important is it to all of us kenshi to keep it subtle?

If it's an old Do you won't use then go as crass as you want. Maybe even add a bullseye or a Che Guevara.

My dream however is a Do covered in Panda fur. Or maybe Orca.

I am very happy with my current do, from Moribudo, which is has an Irime Nuri finish... it's like a matt black, slightly pebble-dashed effect...

However I've always hankered after a Same do... I know that the real ones are incredibly expensive ($4,000 and upwards) but even the fake ones have a certain 'bling' about them....!
