George,
is there any 'unofficial' kendo training at the local club? Am coming up for a day or two that weekend to do a bit of iaido as well as watch the shiai...

Hi Tim (and everyone else),
I cant comment about the glasgow club, but Edinburgh will definetly be expecting some visitors the week AFTER the championships. The week prior/during is a no-go because many of our kenshi are helping at the champs (and I am competing so will be taking part in mini-gasshuku prior).
I'll post more info about the Post-Championship-Edinburgh-beer+kendo-Event [PCEBKE] !!
Christ, under 3 months to go.... I better get good!

Hi Tim - long time no see
I just mailed the event organiser about this and his reply;-
"Phil there is Goodwill Keiko and yes there will be a provision for some other
stuff too... it's all in hand."
So, look forward to catching up some
cheers

bring your kit, I'm stopping at Neils foir the weekend and we are popping down to see Trevor Jones other old mates. Maybe a few beers as well? If nothing is on for the Saturday night I'll ask Neil to hire his hall for a 'bash' and a bit of iaido if anyone fancies it... Trying to get Neil to do some kendo to help him relax his shoulders, but whatever you do DONT let him cut you, he forgets to do kendo cuts and does iaido style cutting. Its like someone going for kote and not stopping although your head is in the way...you have been warned...
