Hmmm neither do I! I think you'd have to be at least Nampa Nanadan first!

Actually, that's a common mistake. Nampa doesn't use dan-i, it uses teaching licenses.

For this one, to my untrained eye, you need at least menkyo okuden. I don't think menkyo okuiri could cut it, unless you have a fat wallet.

so, how's Japan treating you? :)

Very well thanks! The temperature has plummeted from ludicrously hot to pretty cold.

We've just passed the 'Autumn Fashion' season of miniskirts and knee high boots, and I think were hitting the 'Winter Fashion' season of wooly jumpers and hats. I preferred Autumn.

I broke away from the mainstream of Nampa Ryu and decided to 'go my own way'. I bought a keitai when i got here, and practiced on my own in secret.

I honed my skills such that I could open my keitai and generate mails in seconds.

At Terakuni shrine I had a vision from a "Slappa" (like a Kappa water spirit, but decidedly more attractive) who told me to enter the targets maai and relentlessly pursue them with romantic seme until they were subdued. Of course this all had to be done with 'no-mind' or in other words mindlessly drunk.

I followed this wisdom to the letter and was undefeated in 63 engagements.

This is the second time that this Southern dish has been promoted here. But what is it? What is it made of and how do you prepare it? Can it be made at home with the right ingredients? Do share this secret with us(me), please.

Here's a [URL="http://www.goodeatsfanpage.com/Season8/grits/true_grit_trans.htm"]transcript of a Good Eats episode (http://www.goodeatsfanpage.com/Season8/grits/true_grit_trans.htm) about Grits. Basically, it's cornmeal. You could say that grits and polenta are basically the same thing, it's just the recipe that differs.

Do share this secret with us(me), please. It's granulated, bleached corn mash. Not nearly as exciting as you might think.

So it's like porridge but then made of corn and you can bake cookies of it?
Thanks for the recipes, if I feel courageous I will give it a try :nervous:..
It sounded very exciting when I didn't have a clue what it was.

At the next level you encounter delicasies such as catfish and hushpuppies, red beans and rice, ham hocks and black-eyed-peas...
