Woaa!! That's awesome ... im jealous >< too bad kendo in Thailand is not big enough for such a great champion to visit T.T ... actually I don't think any have tried to invite him, I'm sure he wouldn't mind a trip to Thailand? Afterall it is a brilliant holiday spot hehe
However we did have the Japanese national coach pay a visit ... although my memory fails me as to what his name was (I did not have the honour of attending that practise on that day ... wasn't in town, still regret it till this day)

Amazing guy. His hits are so solid, light, and timed perfectly. Wish I had a video recorder to watch his form.

I met him in a burger shop in katsuura. That was weird.
Talk to him a bit, but my Japanese sucked at the time. He seemed nice.

Show off on- Me and George McCall once played table football against Eiga and a big guy called Matsui, we gave them an 8-1 drubbing. His kendo is ace, but his table football is bollocks, and George told him this too!! Heh. But he is a funny guy though, and does do some beautiful kendo!

It was a treat to watch Eiga. What was great was watching his follow through form, zanshin, kiai, during the seminar. I'd never been so well smacked before in kendo. Best part of his visit was watching his little kid taking off back to Japan with a Southern California 1st place trophy from the takai the following day. It's the first time I'd seen anyone that tiny and young whip out so many wazas in each match, much to the amusement of lots of senseis there. Little wonder it'll be when we'll probably start hearing about another Eiga in the next 10-15 years.
