Baesuboru Dou!!
Method: executor takes the "Ty Cobb"kamae and points shinai(one handed) in general direction the victim(ball) will fly. Line up your shot as you advance towards the victim, swing up and back and slide left hand up tsuka to meet right. And the let fly!!!
If successful take a victory/home run around each corner of the shiai area.

Any "Ty Cobb' waza would have to involve wearing sharpened cleats and diving feet first into into the opponent..I think what you are describing is a Babe Ruth-do.

I like to call that one "The McKenna Waza".
Then theres a bunch more, but they usually are not named with political-corectness (thats a word ?) in mind.

Danny Boy, in England we call that "s-K-r-OTE"........Its a cross waza consisting of "kote" and "scrotum",hence, "scrote"
When you cut "kote" without tenouchi your shinai can end up very close to the ground, you then simply run forward and raise the shinai in a vertical tsuki under the tare.

I am definatley kidding, theres no such waza and its not kendo, dont ever try it!!!

Back in my early days, an air force general, shodan in kendo, accused me of practicing Dr. Kevorkian waza. His meaning: he chooses to be there and assumes he must have a death wish. This he based on the way he let me attempt to help him commit suicide by clubbing him to death every week.

Kawai-san--> Jedi waza? Must be some kind of special technique you Southern Cal. folks use. I guess I'll have to work on some "Dark Side Waza" to counter it.
By the way, be sure to give French-san a good thumping for me. He's been known to use "Iron Chef waza" I miss seeing that "lightweight" at Palo Alto.

a classmate of mine is very fond of doing the "slam-dunk waza" where he swung for the men so hard that it looks like he was actually thrown into the air by the recoil.

What is:
tengoku men.
super slide
super kote
kuru kuru men
and what is a bunny men??
I have a version of kote that I do, don't have a name for it, I guess I would call it the windshield wiper kote or something. Because I point seme up and to the right a little, and then it jumps over to the left and comes down on kote at a 45 degree angle, kind of like a windshield wiper going from side to side. Hm, gotta think of a better name than that...

Well, I can only share the names of my waza if you are willing to take keppan (blood oath) to never never reveal them!
So far, I don't have too many named...they are:
Enpi = "swallow flight" = which describes the trajectory of nori-men
Zangetsu = "remaining moon" = dip your shinai into gedan and draw a half-circle during entry, which I almost never do unless I'm desperate
Zanba = "cutting horse", a tribute to zanbatoh = katsugi-waza
That's all for now!

Dr. No laser-beam-of-death big men-uchi - I use it mainly after I get tired. After gaining center, it takes about a second to raise the shinai, another second to reverse the direction... and then... it's coming down nice and slow. My opponent's main problem is deciding whether to hit men, do or kote.
Kendo-Militia
28th August 2004, 07:34 AM
AKA- Instant Disqualification.
After knocking an opponent on his back, you start to drop down onto 1 knee. As your dropping down to one knee, you flip your shinai upside down one handed stabbing him in the throat. Pull this off without getting disqualified. No guys I never done this. I just have evil thoughts.

Yea bet it would work in a tournamnet. Especially during "Encho" . As your in kammae, just rip a loud fart. I bet everyone will be so stunned you go for your opponent's men. It's gonna be like a free throw, so don't miss.

If Kurukuru, Tenken, Tenken's Bro, and myself all make it to the national championships in Michigan, there's a good chance you'll see these waza. Or you can just come to our dojo.

that is my signature waza. i beat some dude from japan with that waza in the finals of a tournament. i distance myself from my opponent so that we are on both ends of the court, then i run at him and do my katate do (this is from the nito kamae). its called sayonara do because its my finishing waza.
