SCKO/SCKF relationships

hehe.. That team tourney thread sorta got me thinking about this one.

Whats up with the history between these two feds? I heard about SCKO breaking away from SCKF because they had some irreconcilable (sp?) differences. The stories I have heard range from dojos owing other dojos bogu, shinai, etc. Some others involve senseis challenging senseis to "death duels". *shrug*

Anybody from the South give me some info here?

Also, SCKF used to belong to KFUSA and SCKO belong to the other organization. I think it was called USKF or KFUSO. I can't remember which one it was.

In any case, while we got back together nationally as AUSKF, this was not true at the regional level. It is IMHO an outstanding issue that needs to be addressed by the national organization.
