I have heard in the other threads that the draw for the WKC is done alphabetically. If so, then why don't we have a world ranking system? Seeds?
How will they be decided? Who knows? By previous WKC finish? By doing a NCAA type seeding system? (ie throwing dart onto dart board) Have the captains draw the seedings prior to the day of the team tourney? Doing more international tournaments?
What do y'all think?

More international tournaments would be fun. However that would require a team to stay together. Not like the US team that is only together for a short time before the Wold Tournament. I think the best way would be to use the last WKC results to determine seeds.

I'll find out how the draw works... I think its totally random though [urgh, dont quote me!]. There will be a psuedo-live webcast... so you'll be able to watch. Dont ask me for more info on that one, i'll volunteer it once I know more.
Europe is good for international kendoka shiai opportunities... we have the Euro Champs every non-WKC year and we have lots of opportunity to meet fellow national members when abroad [at seminars or participating in inter-euro club taikai].
This year ive fought team members from: Ireland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Germany, France... urm... more possibly. And I am not counting the Euros either. There will be a 4 team friendly in Finland in a couple of weeks (UK, Finland, Sweden, and Germany). And this was a slow year.....
Poor yankees!

This is off the subject a bit but not worth making a new thread my apologizes. After this year's WKC who's hosting the next one? Just curious. Thanks.

Sorry about the new thread.. This forum always goes off topic on all threads compared to the other ones that I frequent. The others usually keep a tighter grip on off topic posts in threads.. Next time, I'll know better.. Sorry!

He's not having a go at you, genius, it's a precursor to his question.
I'm not sure about who's hosting the next one, but as for how the draw goes,
I understand (but am not sure to a quotable extent) the first 2 place getters are seeded on opposite sides of the draw.
next two are placed on opposite sides to the team they were beaten by last, and so on for those in the best 8.
After that it's random.
