Issue 5.3 Hits the Kindle Store!!

  • Issue 5.3 Hits the Kindle Store!!

Issue 5.3 is up on the Kindle store now!!

If you have a Kindle or the Kindle app for iPad, iPhone, Android, PC or Blackberry, get at it now. If not, hit the links, download and install the reader, and then search for Kendo World in the Amazon store.

You can download a free sample before purchasing, also.

We hope you like it, and for those who do purchase it, please feedback in the comments below if you find any problems with the issue. We're still finding our feet with this format, especially as it relates to the Japanese characters within the text, and how they display on the readers after making their way through the system to you.

That about sums it up Charles. The journal we have on Kindle at the moment (5.3) is being sold at a special rate because it is our first try, and it's a bit of a trial run. When it's up and running properly, the standard price will be more expensive, maybe around the $10 mark (don't quote me on this). If anybody is under the sad delusion that this is too expensive, then they really don't have to buy it! In any case, there are still a few minor issues that have to be ironed out (like the contents page), but we're pretty happy with it so far. I have been reading it on my i-phone, and am really pleased with how easy to read it is. The back issues will be put up eventually, but it will still take a lot of work to get the formatting right. All the journals we produce from now will be disigned with both the paper version and Kindle in mind, so it shouldn't be such a convoluted process to get them ready for download.

This is great! I really hope that ALL back issues will be available for purchase in this e-format (especially issue 1.1, which is very rare).

The kindle app is only available for the US itunes, means other countries still cant get the digital version of KW unless they sign up for a US itunes account to get around it. I really want to purchase KW but its pricey in print so the digital version is a great idea for international readers!
