Upon my recent return from a whirl-wind trip overseas, I have found myself back into summertime trainings of Taidai…in full swing! The training menu does not appear to have changed much in recent weeks, but in preparation for the upcoming Kansai Team Champs on the 20th of September, the quantity of training has increased significantly. That is to say it has doubled! Well, at least the blistering heat has remained consistent! Arghhh! ...

So here is the idea: there are plenty of information out there, so much more than there was 30 years ago and very much accessible. So I thought that it would be good to get a multimedia library for everyone who would want to watch it. Sure, youtube or dailymotion are good video libraries but it's full of.... everything! This video library would be about budo arts. This is a wide range idea still, going from the basics, the easy stuff to the lectures and other kendo/budo related videos. Some shiais? ...

With my assignments all wrapped and training declared “offu” (off) for a week or so, I have finally had the chance to enjoy some hard earned R&R. Thus, I arranged to take the bus from my small town in Osaka, to another even smaller town, 3 hours out of Tokyo, to spend a couple of quality days with some quality people…take it from me, don’t bother taking the over-night bus anywhere! A blog, writing about kendo, not today's practice or tomorow's worries but something meaningful, not only to me but hopefully to others.
