That 1st tsuki looked a bit sketchy. Especially how the second flag raised... I don't see how that shinpan could possibly have seen whether it was a clear point or not, seeing as she was behind Alex and view obscured. What do I know about naginata, though.

      Fourth Place:

      Women's Teams:

      4. Sweden

      Men's Teams:

      4. USA

      Women's Individual:

      4. A. Vyas, USA

      Men's Individual:

      4. F. Dermine, Belgium

      Engi:

      4. Ostman/Hoglund, Sweden

As a footnote, it seemed like there was an awful lot of hantei, including the women's individual final and the men's individual third place match.

Many thanks to the Kansai University naginata team for joining the Team Canada cheering section with such enthusiasm, and also to everyone involved in making the tournament and the ensuing week happen.

Congratulations to Conrad and Antoine on an origami rose-worthy engi performance, and to Johanne and Marija for salvaging a medal despite a two point handicap in their matches. And we'll see everyone in Canada in four years!

      Oh, and one more result:

      Isshu Jiai:
