Here is a good video about Sumi sensei explaining kiai during a seminar. If you have more infos on where and when was this captured, please feel free to comment. Hopefully, someone who was there during the shoot of this video can tell me more about it. Thank you!

    I just mean the sight of a grown man grunting at himself in the mirror. We (who do kendo) get it and learn from it, while someone who has absolutely no idea what kendo its may find the spectical absurd. I found the thought charming is all.
