    I didn't see a single gyaku dou scored over the whole of the 3 days, but I saw loads tried, and a few that I thought were definately ippon, including Seike's shoutachi in the final (which was just about as good as g-dou gets!), but in the end, if the refs don't like it.....

    Every sinlge time I've knocked down someone I have gone to try and score on him and then i've offered him my hand to help him get back up. Most of those matches i've won, and the ones i did lose, it was because my opponent outskilled me, not because i showed basic politeness.

    no disrespect, but did Taisho of Japan hit kote before the taisho of the U.S team hit men? (that's what i saw from the picture)

    I see in alot of these videos someone gets knocked down, why doesn't the other player try to help him up?
