        excellent

These are very well written discussions on kendo and it is an extremely intertesting viewpoint because of the discussion on tactics ect. This topic is usually frowed upon, as mentioned in the article, but can be effectively taught and discussed.

He's one of the very few people I've met who has the ability to break things down and teach as well as the legendary Hide... except for I can actually practice with him as well! A first class teacher and kendoist.

Hes my coach too....lucky me as well!

Seriously, Honda sensei is a brilliant and inspiring teacher, you always want to do your best for him, and he has an amazingly deep understanding of what hes talking about. So I am lucky. I just wish I could practise with him more often.

Really glad you posted these, ratdeau -- I don't believe I've ever read articles about Kendo written in such a way. These are great! They're very thorough, clear, straight-to-the-point, and illuminating as well -- you just don't see enough discussion about some of the concepts here, and it's nice to have someone who actively knows how first-hand Kendo feels write something like these. I was especially impressed by the articles on tactics, and I urge anyone who hasn't already read them to do so!
