  • Kendo Haiku

In the freedom kendo thread some people have posted haiku, which i for one have enjoyed very much. I thought it would be nice to start a thread with haiku on favorite kendo waza. Here's mine:

    The spirit broken
    Fear not the outcome
    Debana kote

Here's one that happened in warmup:

          Farted in sonkyo
          Glance quickly left at Sensei
          Transfer blame to him

                      Four bamboo staves snap
                      A thunderbolt in the void
                      Ringing fills the skull

(based on a true and oft repeated story...!)
