  • Halifax Dojo & Moving Dojos

It's been a while since I posted in this forum, but I still do lurk *fear*. I know some of you guys go to the Doshinkenyukai Halifax Dojo, so giving you all an advanced wave. I've completed my move from Switzerland to England and settled down enough to start kendo again (plus I have a car to get wherever I want to... freedom!)

I'll be dragging two newbies with me But I will be taking the beginner class as well, due to the fact that all my equipment is still in Switz. Anyways, see you all there this Friday.

To those who aren't in the Halifax Dojo, have you ever had disadvantages, when moving to a new dojo? It's going to be a big step for me, not just because I haven't been doing Kendo for almost a year, but it's going to be in English. Do different dojos have a different way of teaching kendo? I have the impression that kendo fundamentals are the same everywhere, not like when you go to different karate dojos, you see big differences with the techniques.
