  • Kendo spoof's

Remember those funny parts(sometime not meant to be) in movies, when kendokas do some crazy things!?

My all-time favorite is in Transporter2!!!
You know, when they broke the monomi of the men, with the shinai, and in that split second he gets out of the men...

Sometime i can laugh about it,but it sometime irritate me!

    Which is your favorite?

It was like James Bond, except Mr. Bond was a soccer player, and the Ninjas were robots wearing bogu.

                    Worst kendo-in-film piece ever:

Moonraker, Roger Moore as James Bond, 1979:
A killer bodyguard, dressed in full kendo bogu, attacks Agent 007 inside a glass factory in Venice, Ialy. The fight scene plays out in a predictable fashion (i.e., it lasts exactly as long as it takes for the two to break every single piece of glass in the room), as our hero deftly eludes the lethal attacks of the trained assasin's bamboo shinai. Finally (mercifully) the scene ends with the justly-deserved demise of the killer kendoka.

                    See trailer at 1:15.

                      Ah..Moonraker.
The first Bond film I ever saw in the theaters.
At the time, I thought it was an awesome film.

Wow!!!! Talk about dating yourself!! The first movie I remember going out to see was "How the West Was Won", starring Jimmy Stewart, Gregory Peck, and a very young George Peppard (I was 4).

...and it had no kendo, as I recall

Remember Peter Sellers and inspector Clouseau?

There was this particular fight with Cato:

                          http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MFMxpE8ALm4

Real shame the video don't show the whole action!

In the closet in the background you can see a men!
Not a classic men with chikawa and himo, but the whole backside is strap up.
Like shoes(sorry for the rather poor comparing)
And if memory serves me,without flaps.
