Thanks for the offer but unfortunately my friend isn't a kendoka and I think she moved to Beijing some time ago. I think I scared her away from kendo after watching a demo my college club did at our International Festival a couple years ago.

You're welcome! Not bad at the moment, have a tournament this coming Saturday and my nidan shinsa this December. It's going to be a busy couple of months to say the least. How are things in Chengdu? I've got a friend from college who's from there.

My training is going ok, I think. I have periods where I get beaten up a lot for things, and then I get a lot of "that's good"...and then I go back to getting beaten up for (mostly) new things. So I guess I'm improving. :-D

it was tough, almost failed the kata do to anxiety. The keiko I scored well in but I felt I could have performed better. I'm happy because I passed, but I have a lot to work on. ^_^

got my ikkyu a couple of a week ago, and went to a tournament yesterday. it was great!
