I'm back in Canada until next week, so I tried it again here (different computer... actually, this one's a different operating system as well; vista instead of windows 7 or xp, as I've used before)... same issue. I can read your blog if I'm not logged in, but as soon as I do sign in, even from your blog page, I get an invalid link notice. Pretty much given up on it. I see you've got comments, so at least it works for some people.

I'm having the same problems as my friend Mack. Logging out allows me to view the blog post logged in than this appears:

Not only can I not read it, but I can't even find your blogs. The only blog that links from checking your user profile is the one "A Kendo Experiment". That one post, only. The other Korea ones (including the one I used to be able to see, and left a comment on) don't appear on your profile at all, or in the list of blog entries when one scrolls through the "blogs" forum link. Since rainmaker says on this page he's having the same issue, I think Hamish is in error, here. There are some botched settings, somewhere.

I'm using Firefox, but I can read other user's blogs without problem, using the same browser. Kim Taylor's works fine, for me. And your blog worked for me before, but not anymore. Just out of curiousity, I tried to open the page with IE right now, and I got the same message.

Aurelian, have you set some sort of privacy settings on your blog? Still can't read it.
  6. rainmaker
yes, somehow, I cannot read your blog either... hmmmmm

I don't know what happened to your blog. For some reason, I can only read it when I'm logged out, now. If I log in to post, it says it's an invalid link. So I'll comment here.

I think you're right about it being open to everyone, but I've never been invited, so I wouldn't know! Glad to see you're liking Kumdo in Korea, though. I think a lot of non-asian kenshi have an unfair bias against it.

Happy New Year!

by Aurélien on 12th February 2010 at 05:12 PM
My biggest surprise when I started to practice Kumdo in Seoul is thatI didn't actually get hammered as much as I thought I would be, until yesterday.

Because of my schedule I was going to the 7.30pm class with mostly beginners and some more experienced people. Yesterday I decided to go to the 9pm practice. Little did I know that I would end up drunk my brain out with master Seo, 7th Dan Kyoshi, who I mentioned in my previous post (member of the Korean national team twice and highly

Disney-kumdo-land

by Aurélien on 8th February 2010 at 12:33 PM
For those who love Disney stuff, they go to Disneyland and for those who love kumdo stuff, they go (or at least should) to South Korea.

As I mentioned in my previous posts, the dojang is open 5 days a week with 3 practices at 6am a week and every evening from 5pm until 10pm with possibility to call the dojang's coach to practice sometimes in the afternoon. Soon, spring will come and with that competition almost every week end. Each month (all year around), a group of high ranked teachers

Joyful Day Or The Promise Of An Awesome Threesome

by Aurélien on 17th January 2010 at 10:56 PM
Thanks to the Oh So Great Kenshi247.net, I discovered today through my facebook update page that the two loves of my life are meeting together or maybe should I say, embracing one another.

The first love of my life caught me as a young man when I was still shy and innocent. It didn't reveal itself at first, it stayed hidden for a while, waiting for my desire to grow, for my ego to seek for more than what I had and knew. It waited for the drops of sweat to roll on my neck under the

First Kumdo Competition

by Aurélien on 28th December 2009 at 10:43 AM
Yesterday I participated at a local kumdo competition, my first competition in South Korea. I haven't done much competition before and there was usually not that many participants each time and I knew a few of them each time so it made it quite enjoyable. This time though, I knew no one and couldn't speak much of the language. Ii was the only non asian in the gym which puzzled some of the kids.

The competition day started at 10am and long long waiting time was ahead of us. However

Kumdo is my new Kendo

by Aurélien on 19th December 2009 at 11:15 AM
I landed in Seoul, South Korea, on the 16th of last month after a week end competition in Hamilton, New Zealand. Two days ago, after more than a month without training, I started kendo again, but from now on, I call it kumdo.

New rythm, I used to practice 2 to 3 times a week and now I am switching to 5 times a week, monday to friday. I was lucky enough to find a dojang close to my house, barely 5 minutes walk. It changes a lot my my abiliy to go and practice as I used to have about
